Michael Forman
Member of the Managing General Partner and Chairman of the Investment Advisory Committee
Mr. Forman is the founder and serves as Managing General Partner of FB Capital Partners, L.P., a Philadelphia-based private investment partnership that, along with its predecessors, has invested approximately $500 million in private equity and real estate transactions. Mr. Forman is the co-founding partner of Franklin Square Capital Partners, the sponsor of a publicly registered Business Development Company, which is sub-advised by GSO – Blackstone, the credit finance platform for The Blackstone Group. Mr. Forman is also the managing general partner of FB Real Estate Fund, a real estate pooled equity fund whose lead investor is Credit Suisse (CSFB).
Prior to founding FB Capital Partners, Mr. Forman was a senior partner in the Corporate and Securities Department at the Philadelphia-based law firm of Klehr, Harrison, Harvey, Branzburg & Ellers LLP, where he practiced for nearly 20 years and remains Of Counsel. Mr. Forman served in a number of leadership positions at Klehr Harrison, including membership on its Executive Committee and Hiring Partner.
In addition to his career as an attorney and investor, Mr. Forman has been an active entrepreneur and has founded several successful companies. These include companies engaged in the gaming, specialty finance and asset management industries. Mr. Forman serves as a member of the Board of Directors of a number of FB Capital Partners’ portfolio companies. Mr. Forman is also a member of a number of civic and charitable boards, including The Franklin Institute and Eastern Technology Council of Pennsylvania. Mr. Forman received his B.A. from the University of Rhode Island, where he graduated summa cum laude and was elected Phi Beta Kappa, and received his J.D. from Rutgers University.
