Sidney E. Amster

Mr. Amster has co-founded and exited from numerous companies including Ecoplans Limited (Environmental Consulting) to McClaren Engineering in 1982, LRS (medical records) to Laser Data in 1990, and ETCI (CRM Software) to Braun in 1999. Exit values for these companies exceed $50 M. For the past 10 years he has been an active investor in both the United States and Israel, concentrating on technology and cleantech. His most recent investment is a co-generation company. Over his 30+ years of business experience, he has also held technical and management positions at companies such as Oracle, where he co-managed their pharmaceutical vertical during the 1980’s.

Mr. Amster holds an M.S. and M.B.A. from the University of Toronto, has been a Henry Rutgers Scholar and Woodrow Wilson Nominee (1969).  He is currently a Clinical Professor at Temple University’s Fox School of Business, where he teaches international consulting and entrepreneurship, in both in the IMBA and regular MBA programs. Mr. Amster has guest lectured at The University of Toronto, Ben Gurion University of the Negev and is on faculty in Technology Development at The Technion in Haifa, Israel.
